Dear Ames Farrell's Family,
We have been working with Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping Corporate to monitor the latest COVID-19 (Coronavirus) developments closely and are following recommendations provided by the CDC, State, and the National government. The health and safety of our members, employees, and community is our highest priority; therefore, FXB Ames has suspended in-location classes.
We are committed to your health. We are in this together, and we’ve got your back. That’s why we will be providing you with daily, virtual workouts in lieu of in-person classes.
How can we access the virtual workouts? Beginning this Friday, March 20, you can access your daily workouts over our corporate YouTube channel and corporate Facebook page. We will also provide written at-home workouts for individuals who are traveling or without internet access. Just ask if you are interested in these.
No equipment? No problem! You don’t need equipment for these workouts – you just need yourself! If you are interested in using bands during strength training workouts, please call (515) 509-4007 and inquire whether temporary band check outs are available for at-home use.
When will the class schedule go back to normal? We are working with Farrell's Corporate to actively monitor developments and will continue to evaluate as the situation evolves. We will communicate all schedule updates via email and our Facebook page. What about the 10-Week Challenge?
If you are a current 10-Week Challenge participant, testing will be slightly revised. Testing will only consist of using your “before” and “after” photos, weight, and body fat measurements. Please plan to complete these on Thursday, March 19th between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Please reach out to Angie via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or text (515-509-4007) to schedule a one-on-one appointment to complete these. Judging will take place, and a winner will be determined and awarded $1,000. Push-ups, sit-ups, one-mile run, and body measurements will not be required to complete the 10-Week Winter Challenge, but if you’d like to complete these at home for your records, you are welcome to do so. (Please note, this also applies to National Challenge Contestants.) When will we have our 10-Week Celebration party?
The Winter 10-Week Challenge celebration party will be postponed with date TBA. When does the Spring 10-Week Challenge begin?
The Spring 10-Week Challenge start date is postponed. We will communicate more detail, and the rescheduled date as the situation develops. Where can we turn to for trusted information?
We encourage members to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations to protect themselves and our community, including:
- Regular hand-washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Cover coughs and sneezes, and immediately wash your hands after
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care
As a business owner, this is one of the most challenging decisions we have ever had to make. One reason is because of the financial impact this has on our business as well as instructors.
We look forward to hearing your feedback on our new virtual classes… until we see you back on the mats! We hope you and your family are, and remain, healthy and well.
